My New Family

My New Family: we transform lives by bringing hope and happiness

My NEW FAMILY

This is an educational sponsorship program through which children and young people who do not have the minimum required to complete basic schooling can benefit from the necessary conditions to remain in school and continue their education.

Thus, children from the five schools built and the three schools rehabilitated by the Foundation receive school sponsorship that provides them with an annual kit (uniforms, school supplies, shoes, etc.), nutrition plans, health promotion and disease prevention days, among others.

Through this work, the Foundation contributes to reducing school dropout by ensuring value-based education that promotes strong cultural identity and strengthens the emotional and social intelligence of the community.

ACTIVITIES

Through playful and pedagogical activities that create meaningful experiences of reflection and learning for the entire educational community, the program supports students’ educational journeys while also strengthening their development as responsible citizens.

That is why the program works directly with children, their families, and teachers through a strategy called Human Development and Values, which boosts self-esteem, pedagogy, social skills, values, and virtues.

PROGRAM RESULTS

In some of the beneficiary communities, the active participation of parents and teachers in the different intervention stages (implementation, familiarization, appropriation, management, and autonomy) has increased.

This was made possible through experiential meetings of the Human Development and Values strategy, which strengthens self-esteem, pedagogy, social skills, values, and virtues of the participants – mainly children.

Applying this strategy has allowed beneficiaries to develop virtuous attitudes and behaviors that foster better coexistence and healthy harmony among the different actors of the educational community.

Health Promotion and Prevention Days

Every year, the Foundation organizes these days offering consultations in speech therapy, dentistry, general medicine, nutritional control (height-weight), and deworming.

Nutrition Plan

A comprehensive nutrition plan is developed for children to compensate for nutritional deficiencies; it includes balanced breakfasts or snacks served daily during the school day.
